Honda Motor prepares changes in a ruler of the cars to give more attention to release of harmless and accessible at the price of cars, newspaper Nikkei informs.
Legend & Elysion must have a hybrids!
Two expensive cars — Honda Legend sedan and Honda Elysion minivan — will be stoped. In the Japanese car market, since 2011 sales of the classical version of Honda Civic will be stopped, on sale there will be only a hybrid version.
Honda Legend remains on sale only in the US car market under Acura RL brand name.
Acura Co. presented in the USA the updated version of sedan RL which in the European car market is on sale as Honda Legend.
2011 Acura RL aka Honda Legend
One of the basic technical innovations restyling sedan Acura RL is an occurrence of the acoustic resonator — Gelmgoltsa. According to representatives of the company, this device in the world is applied for the first time on passenger cars and helps to reduce noise in interior from road.One more change in car parts is the modernised 6-step automatic transmission which, according to representatives of Acura, allows to improve both car dynamic characteristics, and fuel efficiency. This transmission is aggregated with the former 3,7-litre gasoline engine with 300HP. Outwardly the car changed slightly: new radiator enclosure and new 18-inch aluminium all-weather wheels from Michelin.
The prices for updated sedan Acura RL are not declared yet. Cost of the base version of the car in the USA — $46,830.
